A Religious Experience at the Dutch Garden, bar-rest. in Santa Barbara, CA.

One recent afternoon, between lunch and dinner, two ladies in their thirties entered the bar, which is located street side and has large windows. There were no other guests, only Ken, the owner, and one waitress, Laurie. The ladies each ordered an AUGUSTIJN Abbey Ale on draft (the best selling draft beer at the Dutch Garden), and started talking with each other while enjoying their beer.

Being a quiet moment of the day, the owner let them drag him into the conversation. One of the ladies said: "I feel so happy today ... I'm a vessel of GOD." She went on and on about her joyous religious feelings, and all of a sudden, to express her happiness, she said: "I want to show you my breasts!", which she did at the same time, standing up, enjoying the feeling intensely...

This was a first at the Dutch Garden. Ken is convinced that the Augustijn Abbey Ale, together with the laziness of a sunny warm California afternoon in good company, provoked the joy, the love and the religious feelings of the lady. Ken understands now, why I always say that drinking an AUGUSTIJN Abbey Ale IS a religious experience.

After all, monks created the brew recipe over 700 years ago, while thinking of God all the time. Proof is delivered here: drinking AUGUSTIJN Abbey Ale brings you closer to God.
