Your Fetus and beer

Drinking a glass of beer now and then really won’t do any harm. However, the fetus is at risk if you drink regularly and if you drink large amounts. That is absolutely the last thing you should do: babies and women who drink more than 12 glasses per week have considerably lower birth weights than babies born to women who do not drink alcohol during pregnancy.
Children in the first group are also more likely to become hyperactive at a young age. But the occasional glass of beer will not damage the health of your baby. It is more important for the expecting mother to be relaxed and not to panic.
