The lead neo-prohibitionist at the Center For Science in the Public Interest (CSPI) have zeroed in on a toy-manufacturer, saying that a Barbie doll accessory kit contains a facsimile wine bottle and wine glasses. They are now urging groups to approach various toy stores, and ask them that they remove the products from the shelves. CSPI is also recommending they invite the media to the store with them to shame them into taking the accessory kit from the shelves.

A beer bottle in Barbie's basket would have been much better, of course, but not for CSPI. Hide the truth from the children, is CSPI's device. The truth is that women and men drink beer or wine on a regular basis. Children need to be educated about driving, eating, drinking, sporting, TVviewing ... and so much more. Moderation in all of the above is the key to a long and healthy lifestyle for our children.
