Old Brown Chicken

Makes 2 servings:
1 chicken 4 lbs
salt and pepper to taste
3 oz flour
1 clove of garlic
2 brown Onions
8 oz. Bacon
8 oz. Brown Stock (Campbells Consomme)
2 bottles Petrus Old Brown Ale
1 tsp Gravy Darkening

How to prepare:
Cut Chicken, spice and scatter with half of the flour.
Bake the pieces of Chicken until brown in pot with thick bottom. Add rest of flour and stir strong.

Place in oven for several minutes.
Chop onion and garlic.
Dice bacon.

Take Chicken out of oven and place back on fire. Pour the bottles of Petrus Old Brown Ale and the brown Stock upon Chicken.

Add onions, garlic and bacon.
Leave on fire to stew until done.

Serve with potatoes and apple-sauce.

Serve for each of your guests the famous Petrus Old Brown Ale in the appropriate glass.
